A Santoku-style kitchen knife made from 1080 high-carbon steel. Finished with a stunning Maltese olive wood handle, red liners, and a front Maltese cross pin.

A bushcraft knife made from 1080/1075 high-carbon steel. Finished with a banded hardwood handle, red and black liners, brass pins, and a paracord lanyard.

Order Custom KnifeThe Craft
Every Gecko knife starts as a bar of high-carbon steel: 1075, 1080, O1 tool steel, or a billet of hand-forged Damascus. It's heated, hammered, and shaped one piece at a time. Nothing here is stamped from a mould.
Handles are cut from what the island and its neighbours offer: Maltese olive wood, ebony, lignum vitae, and stag antler, fitted with brass pins and, on select pieces, a mosaic pin carrying the Maltese cross. Red and black liners mark the seam between steel and wood, a small detail that takes a lot of patience to get straight.
From Bar to Blade
01 / Steel
High-carbon 1075, 1080, O1 tool steel, or a Damascus billet, chosen for the blade's purpose, not convenience.
02 / Forge
Heated and hand-hammered at the anvil into rough profile, then normalised and hardened.
03 / Furnish
Olive wood, antler, or ebony shaped and pinned to the tang, with brass or a mosaic Maltese cross.
04 / Finish
Hand-sharpened and tested before it ever leaves the workshop.
